It is a selfcontained cleanin tool that is best used wet with solvent but can be used dry for light applications. The is convenient and economical for use in field or OEM applications. Its compound cleaning platen surfaces facilitates cleaning of the end-face, chamfer and ferrule. USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
“Dry” Cleaning with the

Pull one Wipe over the fiber-safe foam platen.

Hold the end face at a 90 degree perpendicular to the platen.

Draw the end face lightly over the platen in a smooth linear motion - do not press too hard.

Do not retrace your cleaning procedure in the same area.

Do not use a figure-eight motion do not use a “twist & turn” motion.

Check your work with a fiber scope or measuring device.
“Wet” Cleaning with the

Lightly “spot” the wipe on the platen with Electro-Wash PX Fiber Optic Cleaner, orwith the Fiberwash or MX pen.

Draw the end-face from the solvent wetted area to the dry area.

For Splice Preparation Lightly moisten wipe and gently
wipe away fiber contaminants. Lightly dampen a 38540ESD swab,
remove soil from V-grooves on fusion splicer.

Buffer Gel Removal

Pull three single Wipers out of the container.
