IDT APPOINTS TOM NORTH VICE PRESIDENT OF NEW DRAM PRODUCTS DIVISION

IDT recently named Tom North vice president of its newly-developed dynamic random access memory (DRAM) products division. In his new role, North executes IDT’s Fusion Memory strategies and directs the product development of IDT’s DRAM product line. He manages the engineering, design, production and marketing of high-performance DRAMs implemented in IDT’s Fusion Memory technology for cache, graphics and other innovative memory applications.

North brings to IDT more than 20 years of semiconductor experience. Most recently, he served as the founder, chief executive officer and president of ShaBLAMM! Computer Inc., a WindowsNT workstation company that focused on the applications of high-speed main memory. North also gained semiconductor experience at Aspen, Cypress, Xicor, Mostek and Intel.

Tom was the optimum choice to build IDT’s DRAM division, said Len Perham, IDT’s president and chief executive officer. “Tom’s extensive experience in management, marketing and sales will help IDT develop yet another strong product area.”
North received both his bachelor of science in electrical engineering and his master of business administration degrees from Stanford University and holds one patent in memory system design. He is 48 years old and resides in Los Altos, California. Electronic Media Program.
