MAXGTXREFDES Virtex-6 FPGA GTX Transceiver Power Module Simple, Compact, and Reliable Power Module for Evaluating Virtex-6 GTX Transceiver Overview Technical Documents Ordering Info User Comments 0 All Status Active In Production. MAXGTXREFDES is a power-supply module for the FPGA ML623 Characterization Kit. The module uses 25A MAX8686 power regulators with internal MOSFETs to supply all the rails of the 6.6Gbps GTX transceivers on the Virtex-6 XC6VLX240T-2FFG1156C FPGA. The power-supply module has been tested in hardware and shown to have the lowest noise when compared to competitor power-supply modules. Inefficient LDO power supplies can be replaced with this reference design. The MAXGTXREFDES board complies with Xilinx power-supply module specifications and can be plugged directly into the ML623 board to power it.
