With self-resonant frequencies typically above gigahertz for popular RF capacitance values with a Q above 2,000, Type MC capacitors are the answer for high-frequency applications like flight radio and cable television. The natural mica dielectric retains its high-Q to many megahertz, so higher and higher frequency applications are limited by the circuit inductance, not the Type MC capacitor.
