As the leader in mechanical and membrane keyswitch technologies, Cherry is able to offer a variety of solutions to match your particular keyboard needs. Our MX Series mechanical keyswitches incorporate our “Gold Crosspoint” contacts, which provide low initial contact resistance and favorable bounce characteristics. Their “crosspoint” design provides specific contact pressure and excellent switching reliability. They feature a 4mm full-travel design and offer a life expectancy of 50 million operations. The mechanical ML keyswitch used in our notebook style keyboards incorporate a 3mm full-travel design and offer a life expectancy of over 20 million operations. Both the MX and ML keyswitches mount directly to the printed circuit board. Cherry’s “Full Travel Sealed Contact” FTSC technology provides outstanding performance at an affordable price. Cherry incorporates membrane design to reduce costs, while maintaining quality and reliability. Our FTSC products have a life expectancy of 50 million operations per key.
