| HMC5883L Evaluation Board The HMC5883L evaluation board for the Compass IC contains the HMC5883L atop a by plug-board with wide-DIP pins for solderless breadboard compatibility. The evaluation board also contains the capacitors and I2C pull-up resistors needed for typical function for the retrieval of the XYZ magnetic field information. Both single and dual supply modes of the HMC5883L are supported. The HMC5883L can be operated in single supply or dual supply modes, as both VDD and VDDIO pins are brought out. The default configuration is dual supply mode. The recommended supply voltage is 2.16V ~3.6V for VDD and 1.71V~VDD for VDDIO. For single supply mode, tie VDDIO to VDD voltage.
