IDT NAMES DAVE CÔTÉ VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING

IDT recently named Dave Côté vice president of marketing. In his new position, Côté is responsible for developing and executing the company’s strategic product marketing plans as well as establishing IDT’s corporate positioning.
Côté oversees IDT’s strategic marketing, market research, business development and corporate marketing divisions. He is also actively involved in driving IDT’s sales organization to meet the needs of its customers and in working with industry influencers to effectively position IDT in the market.

“We welcome Dave to the IDT team, and I am confident IDT will benefit from his vision, inspiration and marketing leadership,” said Ray Farnham, IDT’s executive vice president. “Dave’s valuable marketing skills will help IDT develop its aggressive, long-term strategies for both product and market development.”

Côté comes to IDT from Zeitnet, Inc. (now a Cabletron company) where he was vice president of marketing and customer support responsible for product marketing, marketing communications, demand creation, channel marketing and customer support. He also brings marketing experience from Bay Networks where he played key roles in product, corporate and channel marketing. Prior to working at these companies, Côté spent eight years at Apple Computer, Inc. in various senior marketing positions.

“Dave’s networking and communications experience is extremely valuable as IDT continues to support communications markets with more than half of its products,” said Farnham.

Côté received his bachelor of science degree from the University of California at Davis and his master of business administration from California State University at Sacramento. Côté and his wife have two children and reside in Los Altos Hills. Electronic Media Program
